Northshore Boatyard Open Day

Live Music, Food, Boats & More. Join us for our Open Day

Join us on Saturday 27th June 10am–5pm.

A summer Saturday by the harbour. Live music, good food, cold drinks and plenty to discover.

Join us at Northshore on Saturday 27th June from 10am to 5pm for a relaxed day on the waterfront, with live music from The Thumping Tommys, sets from 13-year-old local DJ and producer James Uplift, electric boat rides, local food and a few surprises along the way.

Whether you’re a boater, a neighbour, a regular visitor or simply curious to see what’s happening behind the gates, everyone is welcome.

Live Music, Food & Good Company

Whether you’re joining us for an hour or settling in for the afternoon, there’ll be plenty to keep you entertained.

The Thumping Tommys will be bringing their blend of folk, bluegrass and Americana to the yard, while local DJ and producer James Uplift provides the soundtrack throughout the day.

When it comes to food and drink, there’ll be fresh pizza, shellfish, crab and lobster from local favourite Something Fishy, a pop-up bar from Escapist Brewery and ice cream from The Cream Mary.

Pull up a chair (or hay bale), grab a drink and enjoy a day by the water.

Electric Boat Rides

Take a free spin in one of our fully electric RAND dayboats – quiet, smooth, and seriously enjoyable. These boats are part of the Northshore Boat Club fleet, but on the day they’ll be open to all. Whether you’re curious about the club or just want to try electric boating, hop aboard.

Lift & Launch In action

See how our drystack style service moves boats from dry land to deep water.

POWER Is Bananas

It’ll come as no surprise that Elaine, founder of POWER Is Bananas, is a friend of Northshore.

What started as a mission to get people moving has grown into a community built around connection, mindset and finding joy in the simple things.

At Northshore Open Day, Elaine will be bringing a pop-up POWER experience to the yard. Grab a banana, write your word and discover why so many people have joined the bunch.

Trust us. It makes more sense once you’re holding a banana.

Arksen Adventure Display

For those who remember last summer’s Ocean cinema night, you’ll already know our friends at Arksen.

This year they’ll be bringing along Trophy, their custom 10.8m adventure RIB, alongside the Arksen Discovery 8 and a selection of apparel.

Arksen will also be running our big prize raffle in support of 10% For The Ocean, helping raise funds for healthier oceans and coastlines.

If you’ve ever wandered past their workshop and wondered what they were up to, this is your chance to take a closer look.

Northshore Boat Club

If you’ve been wondering what it’s like to be a member, we’ll be on hand to chat through how it all works, show you the fleet, and answer any questions you might have about Northshore Boat Club.

gROW Worlds Toughest Row

We’re proud to be sponsoring the gROW Atlantic team as they prepare for the World’s Toughest Row, a challenge that involves rowing 3,000 miles across the Atlantic Ocean. No engine. No sail. Just two women, one boat and a lot of determination.

Come and meet the crew, see their ocean rowing boat and hear about the preparations, training and mindset needed for the adventure ahead.

They’ll also be hosting a live Q&A, so if you’ve ever wondered why anyone would voluntarily row across an ocean, now’s your chance to ask.

Chichester Harbour Conservancy

The Chichester Harbour Conservancy team will be joining us to share more about the harbour we all know and love.

Whether you’re interested in wildlife, conservation, navigation or simply want to learn more about life around the harbour, they’ll be happy to answer your questions.

Wittering Rowing Club

The team from Wittering Rowing Club will be here with one of their boats and offering visitors the chance to try coastal rowing for themselves.

It’s a fantastic way to experience Chichester Harbour from a different perspective, combining teamwork, fitness and a healthy dose of sea air.

Whether you’re looking for a new challenge or simply curious to see what it’s all about, come and give it a go.

Chichester Boat Club and Training

The team from Chichester Boat Club will be joining us to share how their membership club helps people get out on the water and enjoy boating around Chichester Harbour.

Whether you’re curious about boat sharing, looking to develop your skills, or interested in their RYA training courses, come and have a chat with the team.

More From The Northshore Community

Behind the music, food and fun, there’s another story unfolding at Northshore.

One of the site’s historic buildings is being brought back to life as a new marine hub, creating space for the skilled businesses, trades and specialists that keep boats on the water and harbour communities thriving.

Businesses including HGFR Marine Services and DD Marine Services are already preparing to move in, helping shape what we hope will become a vibrant centre for marine expertise in Chichester Harbour.

The Open Day offers a chance to meet some of the people involved and see the beginnings of what’s next for Northshore.

A Harbour Day, Done Properly

Whether you’re a boat owner, a local, or just someone who enjoys being by the water – you’re very welcome.

Pop in any time between 10am and 5pm. Have a wander, chat to the team, take a boat ride or just enjoy the view with a coffee.

We’d love to see you there.
